- Frozen broccoli
- Frozen baby carrots
- Frozen beans

March 30th, 2010The following are some commonly purchased foods and their ingredients. All 3 companies list their ingredients panels as chemical names (not numbers) so normally you would see a string of numbers. Do these ingredients have health effects? Of course! Down the bottom I have put a link to the safety data listed for one of the ingredients : sodium acid pyrophosphate. It actually lists it as poisonous if ingested! (All have been cut and paste sections direct from their websites).

Cookies
Wraps as follows :
Choose a low wheat or wheat free wrap. Add your favorite ingredients on one edge – eg ham, avocado, mayonaise, or tuna,onion, chutney. Wrap the edge with the ingredients in it, towards the centre of teh wrap, like rolling a scroll. Anchor with a bit of mayonaise.

Rice Cakes are easy. Grab 2 rice cakes, spread with any healthy topping and stick together.

Companies either ignorantly or knowingly exploit labeling laws and therefore the consumer. It seems like regulatory bodies are losing focus or control in this exploding area and if we (the parents) don’t become better informed our children will suffer diseases we don’t even have names for today!
