Kids Quick Meal #1

You will need:

  • 1 chicken breast fillet per child (I use hormone free)
  • Frozen broccoli
  • Frozen baby carrots
  • Frozen beans

To cook

  1. place vegetables in a saucepan. Cover with water
  2. Bring to the boil and then turn off (an alternative is to steam the vegies in a steamer)
  3. Pan fry chicken fillets in small amount of olive oil (this will take about 3 minutes each side).
  4. Cut up chicken (I use kitchen scissors see photo, as it takes half as long as using a knife)
  5. Allow to cool, then serve up. My kids like Thomy mayo, or squeezed lemon juice is great too

All up this should take to 15 minutes from woe to go.

Using kitchen scissors to cut meat, spaghetti, vegies, saves time using knife and fork.
